Several weeks ago, I started working on a digital sketchbook, which will probably go up for sale on Gumroad once it’s finished. And I have to say, I enjoy making it a lot; it made me realize just how little sketching I do - everything I draw is intended to be polished, and if it’s not, it’s thrown out; working on this project gave me back some of the spontaneity I used to have back when I was younger. It’s easier for me to just relax and draw somehting fun, without thinking “yes, but can I turn it into a painting”? Even if the sketchbook doesn’t end up finished, I feel like just working on it is rewarding.
The subject of the sketchbook seems to be “girls”. I intended it to be a random selection, but I looked through all the thigns I’ve drawn for it, and nothing but women. Okay, I can roll with that.
